If the rumors are true, it seems that the iPhone X might not be the only smartphone to leave the fingerprint reader in the coming months.
According to the latest information published by the Ice Universe leak source (which has leaked correct information in the past), it is “100% certain” that the Galaxy S9 will not have a fingerprint scanner.
This revelation is in line with previous information suggesting that Samsung could include 3D facial recognition similar to Apple’s Face ID.
However, a Samsung patent has recently been discovered that suggests that the company may be working on a new front-end fingerprint reader for its mobile devices, although it remains to be seen if it will be used in the Galaxy S9.
Other rumors indicate that the Galaxy Note9 could arrive with a screen scanner under the screen, something that Samsung has been trying to implement for some time.
