As it was foreseen today the new Oppo F5 is presented, a device with very interesting characteristics that will surely mark the type of device that we will see during the next months. It is well to remember that Oppo is the fourth largest manufacturer in the world (only surpassed by Samsung, Huawei, and Apple) and with an unstoppable rise to the top.
This new Oppo F5 offers us a six-inch screen in the popular 18: 9 format. It also adds a 20-megapixel front camera powered by artificial intelligence for beauty mode and a very powerful facial recognition that will also help us to unlock the device, very iPhone-like.

A 6 “screen from which we began to be accustomed
It is worth noting that this is not the flagship of Oppo, but one of its most innovative premium mid-range device. Its price as we will see also will be in that line.
The Oppo F5 features a 6-inch panel with 18: 9 aspect ratio and FullHD + resolution. It is a device that would enter into the “without frames” and thanks to an excellent screen ratio of 84.2%, a number that is growing slowly and where the larger devices have an advantage. We speak of a ratio that rivals that of Note 8, although clearly, the quality of the screen itself is several levels below.
It offers a fairly light and thin metal body, with the fingerprint reader at the back. Unfortunately, we do not have resistance to water and dust as we would have liked to see.
In its interior we find an Helio P20 processor of eight cores that will be accompanied by 4 or 6GB of RAM, depending on the version chosen. For storage, we will have to choose between 32 or 64GB expandable via microSD.
At the battery level, we have 3200mAh and fast charge Pump Express 3.0. A fairly complete device that despite not betting on Qualcomm has more than enough features for day to day. And do not forget about additions like the 3.5mm jack or FM radio, which are always appreciated.
Front 20MP camera
Another section that is not the first time we see is that 20 megapixel front camera. It seems that the trend is to offer more megapixels in front than in the back, although later the camera really has a bigger aperture and offers better quality.
In the Oppo F5, we have a rear sensor of 16 megapixels and aperture f / 1.8 and a 20-megapixel front camera, aperture f / 2.0 and a facial recognition system to enhance the beauty mode.
It will mark up to two hundred different points on the face and apply them to highlight the selfies made and create a kind of bokeh effect. In addition, this facial recognition system can be used to unlock the terminal.
The Oppo F5 bets on Android 7.1 Nougat and its personalization layer ColorOS 3.2 that incorporates the various additions to this version as the multi-screen. Oppo ensures that they have optimized the system and added security enhancements.
A curious addition is an O-share system , which allows transmission speeds up to 100 times Bluetooth. A method to pass all types of files wirelessly but only works between Oppo devices.
